Galloway and Southern Ayrshire Biosphere is designated by UNESCO as a world class area for people and nature.  Galloway and Southern Ayrshire Biosphere Partnership is a Scottish Charity led by a Partnership Board, supported by a team of employees who work together to promote and deliver our Vision and Mission.  You can read more about our Vision and Mission in our Strategic Plan.

This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which the Galloway and Southern Ayrshire Biosphere Partnership collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users/you. Users are defined as any third parties who visit our website (www.gsabiosphere.org), use links within our website to visit third party websites, use our social media, or register for our events and activities. This privacy policy applies to the website and all products and services offered by Galloway and Southern Ayrshire Biosphere Partnership.

Philanthropy

We may carry out research on people that could support us. This means that we may combine information accessed from public sources. This helps us to contact you about supporting us in the future. It helps to ensure that we are communicating with you about subjects that interest you, such as fundraising initiatives, projects and campaigns and to ensure that our limited fundraising resources are directed in the most effective way.

We also conduct research to identify possible donors. This helps us identify people who have an interest in our work and who might be able to support us in the future.

Our research looks at publicly available information such as LinkedIn, Zoopla, Companies House, Charity Commission, OSCR and Social Media. We may use third party suppliers to conduct this research and collect this data on our behalf.

We may use your information to create a profile about you, your interests and preferences.  This helps us to tailor appropriate communications to you as well as helping to improve the quality of your experience with us.   We may combine information you have given us with other information about you when it is available (for example, from public records or social media).

When we do, we will revise the updated date at the bottom of this page.
