SDG 3 – Good Health and Wellbeing – Barr Walks

The Barr trails are a 30km network of paths around the South Ayrshire village of Barr. The trails play an important role in ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all, encouraging physical exercise by offering a range of accessible and scenic routes for both walkers and cyclists. The routes are promoted through leaflets and through South Ayrshire Council’s website, helping the local community and visitors to explore the area and enjoy a healthy lifestyle. Barr Trails are an example of how global Sustainable Development Goals can be addressed on a local scale.
