Management of the Biosphere is guided by a Strategic Plan that reflects the local delivery of UNESCO Man and Biosphere Lima Strategy 2016 -2025. The Strategic Plan is further supported by a series of thematic management plans, action plans and priorities:

Social Enterprise in the Biosphere

In 2016 the Galloway and Southern Ayrshire Biosphere and social enterprise the Adventure Centre for Education were represented through a specially commissioned film screened at the World Congress of Biosphere’s that took place in Lima, Peru.

 

 

Position Statements and Consultation

Whilst the Biosphere Partnership has no formal remit as a consultee on proposed developments or changes in regional or national policy, where they may have a significant impact on the Biosphere the Partnership Board may elect to respond and make representation.
