Hello to all our Proud Supporters,

I’d like to introduce myself as the new Communications and Marketing lead for the Galloway and Southern Ayrshire UNESCO Biosphere.  I started in post last week and have been warmly welcomed by Ed, Marie and Jude.

As our operations expand we’ll have greater capacity to work more closely with our Proud Supporters and holders of the Biosphere Certification Mark, and I’d like to put myself forward as available to help with promoting your enterprise and especially the relationship you have built with the Biosphere organisation and the sustainability ethos behind it.

If you get a moment please do take a look at our social media platforms, which at this stage are primarily Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.  If you’re on any of these platforms and we don’t yet know about it please follow, like, and/or tag us in your posts; we want to be sure we’re keeping up-to-date with everything our supporters have going on, and this is a quick way to do that.  If there’s something specific you’d like us to share day-to-day please also tag us as and when, so that we can add it to our Facebook and Instagram Stories.

Please also have a look at our website.  We maintain a directory of Biosphere businesses and all our Proud Supporters get a wee blurb, photo and link to their own website.  If your text needs to be updated please let me know and I’ll make the necessary adjustments.  Feel free to send a new photo and again, if you’d like us to share it in our IG Stories please do say.

If it would be feasible or useful for me to visit you in person, have a wee chat about the work you’re doing and take some photos, let me know and we can get this arranged.  The intent would be to get some media content that both you and the GSA Biosphere could use for promoting your enterprise.  Where appropriate we’d also like to develop this into longer-form content for features or blog posts on gsabiosphere.org.uk, in order to spotlight our supporters and spread the word about sustainable businesses and producers in the Biosphere region.

Our team is aware that this is an economically critical time as we move into the post-pandemic period, so please don’t think there’s any obligation or urgency to the above, it’s just when/if you have the time (or the inclination!).  There’s no need to get back to us if you’re happy with everything as-is, and similarly it’s no problem if this is something you’d rather look at at some later date – we’ll still be around.  Integral to the Biosphere’s communications and marketing plan is being as accessible and active as we can in our relationships with individuals, businesses and communities, so this is more about letting you know that we are available, and that we’d be pleased to help.

I am reachable at tamara@gsabiosphere.org.uk or by phone on 07435 989854.

Kind regards,

Tamara Fulcher
