Tell Your Green Story
The Hows and Whys of telling customers about your business’s journey towards sustainability

We are excited to announce on 7th April our very first Green Stories Webinar, will take place led by our Communications & Marketing Officer Tamara Fulcher. This is a chance to learn more about the Hows and Whys of telling customers about your business’s journey towards sustainability – everything you have already achieved, and what you’d like to do next!

When you're running a business - especially a micro or SME - the road to sustainability can seem daunting and long. But be assured: you are not alone! Proud Supporter businesses are warmly invited to join us this Thursday, 7 April, between 10-11am, when we will be talking about how to share your Green Stories with customers, clients and guests. It's a dip into marketing - how we talk about global issues at a local level - plus a wee hour of moral support

If you want to join in contact Tamara and you will be sent the meeting link tamara@gsabiosphere.org.uk

Chefs Sessions - What's on the Plate

Webinar + Q&A Sessions for chefs and restaurateurs discussing sustainable food and the circular economy 11th April 9.30am - 11am

The Chef's Sessions organised by the D & G Sustainable Food partnership are aimed at chefs and restaurateurs in Dumfries and Galloway, but any Biosphere Proud Supporter business working in hospitality is welcome to join. Each focuses on a different theme, spotlighting sustainable food and the circular economy.

In this session we take a close look at 'what's on the plate'. Can what we're offering be more locally sourced? How can we make sure meat and dairy has come from high welfare farming? Can we offer more veg and less but better meat?

We'll hear 2 presentations from food businesses trying to make a real difference:

Kirsty Mawdesly from Lean Bean, Thornhill. Another relative newcomer, Kirsty and Ross established this business with the aim of improving the health of people and planet.

Emily Robinson and Graham Singer from Compass Group. Compass provide contract catering services across the UK, and are making huge improvements in their sustainable and local sourcing.

There will be time for Q&A and an open discussion after the speakers. Sign up to reserve your place now.
