Are you a Proud Supporter Business working hard to support our Biosphere?

The Biosphere Certification Mark is awarded to businesses demonstrating their commitment to operating sustainably - looking after the environment, supporting local community and business, and championing what's special within the Galloway and Southern Ayrshire UNESCO Biosphere. 

We are really pleased that Garroch Glen Shepherds Huts, Heart of Galloway Visitor Centre, Kitchen Coos and Ewes, Puralba and Ross Bay Retreat have recently been successful in applying to use the Certification Mark which now makes 21 businesses in total who are officially recognised and can use the Certification Mark on the labelling of goods and in connection with their business.

Next round application deadline is 31st May 2020

• Tourism or accommodation business?
• Provider of activity, educational or cultural services?
• Restaurant or cafe?
• Primary or secondary goods producer For example meat, fish, fruit. vegetables, plant, bread and cakes, jams, wood products?
• Artist, Photographer, Card producer?.
