Peinn Mor pottery is run by long established, professional craft potters, Keith and Beryl Dawdry, at the former Assel Primary School in Pinmore. They make individual thrown and sculpted high fired reduction stoneware with their much sought after woodash glazes. Their work is inspired by the landscape of rural South Carrick and its Celtic Heritage underpinned by Japanese Mingei philosophy.
The potters’ gallery, adjacent to the studios and with ample parking, contains an ongoing display of their latest work for sale. Keith and Beryl live on the premises and visitors will usually find them about, but, they advise phoning ahead if coming far. Telephone 01465 841662 or 07901 501697.
