The Galloway Glens Scheme is 5 years of concentrated and co-ordinated activity taking place up and down the Ken/Dee valley in South West Scotland, seeking to connect people and communities to their heritage.

We are a ‘Landscape Partnership’ scheme, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, with support from a range of other partners including Dumfries & Galloway Council.

Projects supported by the scheme vary from large, ambitious proposals, which will have a regional or national significance, to smaller, community-derived proposals that will focus on ‘on-the-ground’ benefits. We have a plan in place for our delivery phase, but are able to adapt to change and emerging opportunities.

We look forward to working with as many people as possible to use the amazing natural and cultural heritage of the area to power local economic development and to support sustainable communities into the future.

If you want to know more about what we will be doing, please visit our website www.gallowayglens.org or give us a call!
